Grrr

Wasted the whole morning fighting with Norton Anti-virus, which had decided it didn't want to load the latest virus definitions. I didn't work out what was wrong until this afternoon when I noticed that Windows thought it was July. No idea why it decided to jump forward a month. Maybe it thought it would be fun just to piss me off.

I hate computers. I'm going back to pencil and paper.

Virus checkers are much more effective on pencils than they are computers. But the spell checkers suck.

Perhaps not its fault this time, but Norton is known (and by "known", I mean "I think it is and, dammit, surely that's enough for everyone?") for its suckitude.

But then I get terribly cranky with most things like that, so it may just be me.

Yup, Norton sucks big time. It gets the virus stuff out of the way, but it slows the computer down like I was using and old 486 and it s liveupdate function only works half the time, so it's more of a livingdeadupdate thing.

But it came free with the computer, so I'll use it until I have to pay for something new
