I almost forgot

The hotel here in Stykkisholmur is set away from the town, up a small hill. We're pretty much the only guests tonight, the Horse Doctor and I. There are staff around somewhere, I'm sure, but I haven't seen or heard them in hours. The corridors are all lit, but empty, red patterned carpet stretching off into the distance, closed-face doors lining the corridors like tombstones.

It feels weirdly like the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick's classic movie The Shining.

If two little girls suddenly appear and ask you to come play with them, I suggest you say no.
