Milestone

Sir Benfro had its 10,000th hit this morning, at 8:38 and 20 seconds. A visitor from Singapore, of all places. They didn't come from anywhere, and they didn't hang around here either - statcounter says 0 seconds. Oddly enough they went to the archive page for last August, not the front page. Strange.

But it marks a milestone. 10,000 times people who really ought to have better things to do have wandered past this little corner of my world. That's a lot of people.

OK, so it's taken a year and a half, and some people get that many hits in an afternoon. But I'm not famous, and more importantly, I don't do very much to sell myself out there in blogland. I'm well chuffed I am.

Since Friday was the last day of June, and technically that means half the year gone. I can also reveal that in that time I wrote 86,550 words here, in some 182 separate posts. A few of these were cheats from blogthings and the likes, but most of it was my own work.

By contrast, Benfro Book three is weighing in at 87,070 words as of the end of chapter seventeen. I'd like to say that I was more than halfway done, but I have a horrible feeling it's turning into a doorstop.

And one to which I must now return.

Hey - 10,000 is awesome! There's quantity and quality. I just capitalize on all the people searching for Sandra sex and porn, otherwise I'd have a third of the hits I've got.
