Goodbye...
At least for now. I intend coming back soon, just can't say when.
Yes, the landlord of the old house has finally asked us to move the phone, desk and internet connection out so he can get tenants in. And, of course, BT still haven't fitted a new phone line to the new house. So as of today I am incommunicado.
There is a slim possibility that I may have a phone on Monday. But it's so slim that it would be banished from most European catwalks by the thought police. Not even a size zero, really. It's not even worth trying not to jinx it by not talking about it, if that makes any kind of sense.
It took me almost an hour to get BT to cancel the old phone line, including being passed through five different call centres and being told that I was in a queue but that my call was important to them and I would be answered soon at least a hundred times. What a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon. So you can imagine my faith in good old British telecommunications is less than total.
There are a couple of places in Aberystwyth that have wifi access, so I might still be able to check in from time to time. In the meantime I refer you to the list of worthy names on the right. Go peruse their words of wisdom.
I'll be back.

I'd offer you use of my wi-fi, only Gloucester's a bit of a drive from Aberystwyth...
Take care & hopefully it won't be too long...
I can post pics of Welsh sheep on my blog, in case someone's missing those. :)
Take care, try not to kill the phone internet people until AFTER they get your services hooked up. I can't even fathom having to wait that long to be able to give people money for services...
Congratulations!
