Don't watch this whilst eating

Honestly.

This is the water supply at the farm. Time for an upgrade, methinks.

UPDATE: What you're looking at is an old metal ball from a ball-cock valve that's had some rough holes banged through it with a chisel. This sits in the pool of the spring that feeds the farm water supply and has a pipe running from it to the holding tank further down the hill. The idea is that the holes act as a filter, preventing large objects getting into the pipe and causing a blockage. As you can see, it is only partly effective. The frogs seem to get limbs stuck in the holes - presumably because there is considerable water flow pulling them towards the ball, and because the chisel has left jagged edges on the inside that act like barbs on a hook.
